My technika LCD19DVDID-208 Takes 5 or 6 times of switching from standby on and off to get the screen to light up & the picture signal to come through. The sound comes through OK first time. Also some times the mains switch takes a numer of on off operations to get it to switch on to standby.

Step 1: Check all connections re-do the connections if need be and hook it back up

Step: 2 Remove power from the TV unit and plug it back in

Step 3: check the TV input make sure you are on the right input for the TV
