Does this tappan stove require a hood for ventilation? The one I have is intalled in the center island of the kitchen.

I would check with your manufacturer and see if a professional can diagnose the regulator and even the gas valve itself.

If it has a pilot light: a little gas comes out all the time on these. Just use a lighter. Warning for propane model have plenty of ventilation before attempting to light it. Propane is twice as heavy as air and nat gas is lighter than air. propane puddles and lingers while nat gas dissipates. If yours has a glow bar no need to light it:

HI. thanks for your question. i would replace the 2. 30 amp fuses in the stove. try that. if not repaired. check the timer. it must be set to MANUAL, for the oven to work, check that.thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer. thanks
