One of the following two methods of programming "Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing" should work depending on which Panasonic phone system your KX-T7433B phone is connected to. Try number one first, if PROGRAM 99 does not get you into station programming, try number 2.

1) Press PROGRAM button then dial 99 to enter station programming. Dial 1, then press INTERCOM button to select Intercom as your Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing choice. Press AUTODIAL/STORE button to save programming. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lifthandset then replace in cradle to end station programming.

2) Press PROGRAM button then dial 19, press AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press INTERCOM button then AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lift handset and replace in cradle to end station programming.

How to pick the call from other extensions

I have downloaded several manuals for the Avaya by searching online, some are good basic user guides and some very technical. You can pick up a call in several different ways - here is a copy from the manual on call pick ups:

2.2.2 Call Pickup
If you hear another phone ringing, there are a number of ways that you can answer the call if you know the user, group
or line being called.

1.If already on a call, end the call by pressing Drop or put it on hold by either pressing Hold or pressing the
button which the call is on.
2.Press an idle Intercom or Call Appearance button.
· To pickup a call ringing at a particular extension:
Dial 6 followed by the extension number at which the call is ringing or parked.
· To pickup the longest waiting call in a pickup group:
Dial 66 followed by the pickup group number (1 to 4).
· To pickup the call ringing on a particular line:
Dial 68 followed by the two digit line number.
3. You can continue the call handsfree or switch to using the handset or headset (press the HEADSET button).

To Create a Call Pickup Button (ETR 18D/ETR 34D Phone)
1.At the phone press Feature 00.
2.Program Extension: is shown on the display.
3.Press the button that you want to edit or enter a number between 03 to 80 to select a button. The current setting
of the button is displayed.
4.Press the first intercom or call appearance button.
5.Dial 6 followed by the target extension number.
6.The button function is changed to Call Pickup followed by the target extension number.
· Exit programming by pressing Feature 00. You can also exit programming mode by lifting the handset, then
placing it back in the cradle.

To Use a Call Pickup Button
1.Press the Call Pickup programmed button

How to use the intercom system

  • Check your telephone to see if it has an intercom feature. Many wireless phones that come with multiple units allow you to temporarily turn one unit into an intercom to contact other units attached to the same wireless phone system. Depending on the model, you can contact all the other phones at once, or a single specific phone, by pushing the intercom button and entering the other mode. To put the phone back into regular mode, all you have to do is switch off the intercom option.

  • Contact your telephone provider. Some telephone service providers allow landline phones to call themselves, which enables the phone to function as an improvised intercom. You would simply pick up the phone, dial and then close the connection. Once the phone is answered elsewhere in the house, you will have established a line to another phone and you can speak normally on it. This has largely been eliminated due to lack of need as technology advances, but it may still be an option with some providers.

  • Purchase and install an intercom system that will work through an existing phone line. Many of these products, some of which are produced by Panasonic, operate as a halfway point between a traditional intercom system and a phone line. The exterior intercom links directly to the phone line, and you can pick up the phone and talk through the intercom unit outside once the system is properly set up

How can i transfer calls from one phone to another?

First make sure you give each phone an ID on your system. You do this by going into the menu and go to phone options then scroll down to phone ID then press the intercom station button you want assigned for this phone. To transfer call: With caller on the line just press transfer then the intercom station button of the room (intercom station) you want it transferred to. If it is not answered in 45 seconds the extension stops ringing and call is placed on hold

Intercom / page problem with AT&T phones model 944 and 955

Do you have DSL on this line? Make sure you have filters on the lines going to the phones or take the line coming out of your DSL modem and split it to the phones.

Also, try unplugging your fax, computer modem or credit card machine and test the intercom. Sharing one line for several devices can make the intercom unhappy.

    Ring options

Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11.
At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
Next press the left hand intercom twice
The display should say system programming2.gif

Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.

Enter in the extension number that you want to program.

Press the line that you want to ring.
A solid light on the line means immediate ringing
A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.)
A fast flashing light means no ringing.

When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.

    Press feature "00" to logout
