Just got a Asus m4n68tm motherboard 250 processor 2gig ram to go with a half gig hd and a 450w psu. Assembled everything nicely and fired the thing up only to find - no video. Everything seems ok but just no picture. Tried 2 different screens but nothing. Any advice?

Try removing you ram and putting it back in make sure it locks in place, and make sure your cpu installed correctly and securely. Also try clearing the bios. If this does not work reply back to this posting with you complete configuration make and model of every thing.

The only thing i can suggest is remove one of your RAM sticks and see if the machine will boot. I had this problem with mine and it turned out that one of my RAM slots was faulty and would not boot if both RAM slots had RAM in them.

I have 1 gig ram added 2gig of ram to my P5VDC-MX mother board.

Your system might only be able to recognise 2gb of RAM. Tiger Direct has a RAM finder for almost every computer. Check it out to see if you have too much.

Advice for buying a new power supply compatible with my videocard

Get a 600 watt they are better and will handle all that you need the price from a 450 W to 600W is not much I run 7 dvd's a ATI Video capture card with a 64 bit AMD processors 1 80 gig Hd 2 Sata Drives 120 gig and sound blaster audio card and more and the 600 watt does fine The Corsair is ok Where to you think your going to get it at on line? or at a store? You can buy them at
tiger direct.com or Fry's.com The 600 watt ATI power supply will have 6 standard HD connecotors and I use three Y's for more and never had any problem with mine.
