If you are using a Universal remote control with this set, some button functions won't coincide with the display. If you are using its original remote control, the contacts inside the remote control is dirty or dusty. You have to open the remote control and clean its contact pad and printed circuit touch pad with rectified spirit or medical quality turpentine. Never use petrol of such hard solvents to do this, becuse they will damage the rubber parts of the remote control. If it is a universal remote control doing this will be of no use. It will behave only like this. OK.

The PIP will function using one source (thru Component, HDMI, etc.) and another being the TV tuner. THE PIP by default is thru the TV Tuner.

I used 0178 to program my universal remote. You can also try 10056, 10178,10864,10885,11756,10056,11758, and 11499. Then you can try by dropping the "1" from the front of these codes.
Most good remotes have a programming function if this does not work, where the remote will "learn" the proper code.

The procedure to remove it with the remote is simple, it's a single button on the remote that allow to toggle it on and off.

The PIP function on generic/universal remote is often not the same as on the original one. PIP is considered an advanced feature.

Unplug and then turn back the unit ON, after few minutes, say 30 minutes. If the problem persists, then toggle the buttons on the remote, unless send me a pic of the remote so that i could tell you the button.

Note - Sometimes, this is a problem in TV as well.

your cable or dish box may have a pip function.

Hi I am Vortash .. sorry but I dont think you can , this is not a basic function and the exterior controls are just for that , PIP is a function you would use via remote at a distance therefore not a requiremnet if you are using the projectors exterior controls , I can tell you that there are numerous remotes available on Ebay and Amazon going quite cheaply if you should want to get one ... Some models of the TV have PIP as an option, but not installed, and to make it cheaper, they use the same remote and menus, just disable the option, as it's not supported. Best to check the Manufacturer's website to make sure that it does do PIP, not that a related model which has the same user manual does PIP.
