Disc does not spin readout says "no disc" how do I get the cover off to check the motor /belt??

Check the lens first to make certain it is clean and not damaged. Many plays will not even attempt to spin the disc if it can't see one!

Can't get the CD to play at at times - it keeps reading "no disc"

My Panasonic SC-EN5 stereo hadn't worked for years; the screen always read "no disc." I sprayed it with one of those air dusters that had compressed air, and IT WORKED!! Thanks jack 007227!

Panasonic SCEN5 adapter

Where can you get whole unit for $49? If you answer I could research the power requirements. If I recall correctly it has a slightly odd power connector.

On the other hand would you be willing to sell yours? We have a dead remote :-(
