Lyra 6675 after restoring the files to the player it says no files

If there is corrupted data in your Mp3 player, please reformat your player your factory settings(it depends upon the manufacturer, mostly use the reverse side of the needle to press in the pinhole that is available somewhere in your player). This action deletes all the files in your player and all the settings are reset. Your player will be now like a new one. You can upload music again and use it as normal one. You will be able to restore the functionality of you Lyra after you reinstall the firmware you can download from the manufacturers website. This is a very common problem for mp3 players.

Here are the instructions once you have downloaded the file.


FIRMWARE UPGRADE STEPS


We highly recommend you do not connect your player to the computer until Step 3.

1. Locate the downloaded RD2010/11/12/15 upgrade file and double click it.
2. Following the onscreen instructions, allow the program to completely install all USB drivers (Windows 98SE and Windows ME) as well as the upgrade program and firmware. You may be required to reboot once the install is complete.
3. Connect your RD2010, RD2011, RD2012, RD2015 to the PC using the USB cable.
4. From the “Start” menu, select “Programs” > “Lyra™ Personal Audio Player” > “RD2010, RD2011, RD2012, RD2015” > “Update Device.”
5. After the program is finished searching for the device, drivers and new hardware may be detected and installed. Then the “Update Lyra™ (RD2010, RD2011, RD2012, RD2015) Device” box will pop up with current version and new version (1.51) of firmware shown.
6. Press “Start” to update the firmware of your Lyra™ RD2010, RD2011, RD2012, RD2015. Depending on your existing firmware version, the Upgrader might show an option for formatting the device. Click “Yes” to continue.
7. When the update is complete, click “Close.” If present, use the Windows system tray icon to safely disconnect the Lyra™ RD2010, RD2011, RD2012, RD2015 and unplug it from the USB cable.
   Your update is now complete.

There is a slide switch on the top of it that locks the controls. If this is in the locked position then the devices shutsdown again!

Also, the 6675 does the same thing if the battery is flat .... appears to start and straight off again!

I had the same problem. When I connected it to the pc it said it was "corrupt and unable to read file". I reformated it and now it works just fine!

you need
RD2780 Lyra™ A/V Jukebox Software Package (Version 1.0.3.5)
and
RD2780 Lyra™ A/V Upgrade Utility

download both files. the format the lyra from windows explorer (fat32).
the install the a/v jukebox. it will put an icon in the system tray. right clic it and select "update system files" (or something like that). when it´s done, disconnect the lyra from the PC and reboot the lyra. It will update automatically.
then download the second file to update firmware. that should work.

I have upgraded my RCA Lyra 1080 and show music files on the Lyra Window in my pc, but when I attempt to play music on the Lyra it says "no music files."

The unit has a hold button which when you accidentally slide to one side, will "hold" or lock up the unit, to unlock this, simply slide the hold button to the opposite side.

try flicking the "hold" switch then start up.
