Is it just me or is this site useless? hopefully no one else here had this issue happen to them the day after they dropped 730.00 for replacement of the "factory upgrade" Sway bar because the front bushings went shitty, and the oxygen sensor - a sweet 127.00 part to get the engine light to go out. I love my lincoln when it works, but this ***** is making me a hater of Lincoln.

Cd player will not eject holds 6 cd 2001 ls licoln says cd error

This happens to me as well, usually if you press and hold the eject button all of the cd's will be ejected. A couple of times I had to use another cd to kind of slide underneath the stuck cd to assist with it ejecting while I pressed the eject button.

Cd would not eject now wont play or eject or anything.

Start by checking all of the fuses in your car if the radio is not even powering on. If this does not work your next step is to have the unit repaired or replaced at which point the cds can by removed by taking the unit apart. You can do this yourself or take it to a best buy and have it replace with an aftermarket unit which will be much better and a lot cheaper than going back to the dealer

When i tried to eject my cd it didnt come out and i cant play cd's it reads error

I have a 2002 LS and sometimes get a problem trying to eject CDs. If your problem is the same as mine, then its relatively simple to get that CD out.

The little access panel on the head unit opens up but the CD does not eject, in my case there is a slight alignment issue and the CD gets stuck when trying to come out. The thing to do is to get a thin blade (a knife works), hit the eject button, pick a slot (any slot), and then slide the blade on the top edge of the CD that you see in the access port. Simply nudge it down and as long as the unit is trying to eject it will come out.

Good luck...

Envoy 2004 cd player

I had same problem with a 2005 Envoy in Jan '09. I took it to the ex-GM dealer. He said he'd try. The unit would only play using radio.
Mechanic took unit out of dash, and top off of unit. Ejected CD bu moving the eject mechanism. Replaced top and unit.
Works and plays cds. Cost $25.00 And i tipped the mechanic $10.00 for his knowledge.

2003 Lincoln LS

My 2001 Lincoln LS has done this 3 or 4 times in the last 8 years. I disconnected the battery (for a minute), pulled the fuse, held the 'load' 'eject' button simultaneously for about 1 minute, banged on the dash, slid a credit card along the opening...prayed : ) For 2 days it wouldn't work. Then today I pressed the CD button and it worked. I immediately removed the one 'burned' CD that I had in slot 5, The only think I can think might have affected it was-
1. Put in a new CD that one of our local gospel groups made.
2. Weather had been quite warm, then 2 days ago, it got freezing cold outside again????
I don't know? Probably just an idiopathic occurrence.
It is the Alpine head, LS sports package.
