The Acer Aspire One has built-in BIOS recovery which can be used to flash its BIOS. Once the BIOS has been flashed, all BIOS settings are reset to default which gets rid of the BIOS password. This procedure has been posted Aug 2008 on macles for friends of the aspire one to address the BIOS failure that frequented early versions of the Aspire One BIOS. I have used the procedure on my own Acer Aspire One when it bricked in the fall of 2008 and once more in 2009 to install a later BIOS version. Acer also posted Feb 2009 the similar procedure on AcerSupport but has since removed it. Be aware that you must follow the procedure carefully and do so at your own risk. Here is the macles link.

If you have hiran boot cd pls run it with mini xp. can't load pls use another pc or laptop. after load pls run mini tools icon and pls select password menu in programmes menu. select bios password sub menu
and run the reset tool
type the code given the bios and use the password to unlock bios password

What is the default unlock password for an acer aspire r11

for bios password pls run hiran boot cd (you can use another pc or laptop )and run mini tools , also pls go to desktop and find mini tools icon. select programmes menu. and select password sub menu. select bios reset tool
type given code from bios locked.
restart and apply unlock code

the only thing I can suggest is to flash your bios to standed bios.You will have to go to acer web site to do this and it tells you how to flash your laptop you will need a flashdrive to this other wise see if acer have a bios reset tool. sorry I cant offer you more ideas

You can restart the BIOS password
Follow the method as given in this tip
Lost password, reset the BIOS

Where is Cmos Clear jumper on motherboard to clear Bios password.

If you can't find the jumper, just remove the CMOS battery wait for 1/2 + hour and the re-insert the battery. This will reset the BIOS back to the default settings and you then need to set the Time & Date.
It may not remove the BIOS password if the laptop stores the password on an EEPROM chip.
