I have a samsung le32b530 tv and have it connected to my ps3 via hdmi. it has been workin fine up until now. when i turn on my ps3 and turn the tv source to hdmi, all i get is a black screen with the picture resolution displaying in the corner and no sound.i have brought a new lead and had my ps3 swapped by sony as i thought that was causing the problem. so i know now it is the tv. i have tried everything i can think of to resolve this. i've reset the tv to its default settings which did nothing. please can you give me some advise as to what i should do to get it workin again.

checking the resolution of the game does not matter as the problem happens before i even load the game. i can't even get the ps3 menu up. all i get is a black screen, no sound and jus the display reolution in the corner. the problem is not the ps3, or the hdmi cable as i've had them both replaced. the problem is the tv.

the problem happens before i even load a game. i can't even see the ps3 menu. as soon as i turn on the ps3, the tv use to display the menu screen, now all i get is a black screen with no sound. and the display resolution in the corner. like i said, i know it's not the ps3 or the hdmi cable as i've had them both replaced. so it must be the ps3. it's strange cos i connected my laptop up to the tv with the hdmi cable and set it to project to the tv and it works fine. but it jus doesn't want to display the ps3 which it use to before....

Samsung TV Is Not Picking Up A Playstation 3 HDMI Signal

If you are able to connect your PS3 to another TV using the same HDMI cable that would rule out your PS3, if it works.....or
does the PS3 itself have any settings that perhaps need to be set to an HDMI output as opposed to Composite or SCART etc?
Also have a look at the HDMI settings in theh TV menu too.

Got a PS3 hooked upto a Samsung 40" LCD TV via

I would suggest trying a different TV, and maybe see if you still have any Component or Standard Definition Composite cables to connect the PS3 to the TV and see if it works that way. I would assume you did this when you said you reset the resolution on your PS3, but turn it off, then hold in the power button until it beeps twice in a row. (Just in case) Make sure everything is plugged in twice and your TV is on the right input. If none of that works, there may be something wrong with the graphics adapters on your PS3 in which case you will need to contact Sony about fixing it.

How would i know if my HDMI ports are working or not?? Tried to connect a PS3 to it but nothing. Thought it may have been the cable so checked someones that i know is working and still nothing. Checked...

As you already checked PS3 and HDMI cable,
select HDMI input in TV and connect PS3 via HDMI cable. TV should show PS3 picture.
And if still no joy then HDMI input port in TV is bad and need to replace input board/ main board.

JVC LT-32DS75SJ issue with HDMI

Try this

1. Turn ON TV
2. Connect PS3 to TV HDMI input
3. select TV HDMI input for PS3
4. turn OFF PS3 if it is ON
5. Press and hold the [I/O]Power button until the PS3 until you get the "HDMI Detected" message.

Also, this TV has a circuit that deactivates the HDMI if the rear cover is removed. It is possible the HDMI may have been turned OFF. This is reset in the service menu of the TV.
