My computer crashed and we tried to download the software for DSS Player Versino 6 and we no longer have the box, ergo we don't have the serial number. How do I get passed this issue for downloading the disc?

Puede encontrarlo seleccionando Ayuda, luego Acerca del m?dulo de dictado o Acerca del m?dulo de transcripci?n. Adem?s, el n?mero de serie tambi?n se puede encontrar en el propio CD, en una hoja cuadrada de papel verde del tama?o de una cubierta de CD. Have you try to reinstall the software, many times thoose software are much complicated and comes with strange errors. Try to : uninstall the software, reboot the computer, and reinstall the software and try again.

Try logging into Olympus support. The site is a little difficult to navigate but go in through the professional digital dictaphones and then into archived (or older) models until you find the DS 330. Follow the links to software downloads and you should be able to download the DSS suite and all updates. The DSS suite automatically recognizes most Olympus DSS models. If you will "save" the downloads first, you can burn them to a disk so that you will have a back up copy
Try running in compatibility mode for the program. Go to the program thru Start menu, then right-click. There you will see the compatibility mode Tab or choose properties.
You can buy the disk but there is a download.

The answer is all in the serial number you use to install the DSS player!
Look carefully and you will see the recorder disk has in my case an [E] printed above the install serial number and the transcription pedal has [T]
Install the same disk with the E the driver is there, the control in Control Panel is there, but the foot switch does not work with the software. Put in the serial number with the [T] and foot switch works first time!
If you uninstall the play and then reinstall with the [T] serial number you do not need to reboot or even unplug the foot switch from the USB.
