I have a DD603 with both draws blinking F1 and showing a wrench. The machine also sounds like it is trying to empty out but there is no water in it. The manual says the flood switch has been activated. How do I reset it?

This is what worked for me, unfortunately after paying a dishwasher repair expert 90 bucks who said I have a short somewhere, and yes he could start repairs by changing the PCB after buying it, but the short could be anywhere in the machine taking several hours to diagnose so maybe better for us to just to buy another machine. Not willing to throw in the towel yet, after not liking the standard machines being sold and the high price of new F&P machines after rereading some of your blog posts I did this: 1. Turn breaker off 2. Pull out bottom drawer and put on SIDE 3. Lift up PCB in back corner; no need to disconnect wires 4. Dry bottom of PCB with fingers or cloth....I didn't actually see much moisture but just rubbing all of PCB maybe did something 5. Give PCB a few taps 6. When all quite clean align and dry clip PCB back and tighten the one screw holding it fairly snug 7. With flashlight look at bottom of drawer wires through opaque plastic and see if any appear damaged.....I didn't see any 8. Give the mag drawer sensor a wipe on front right side 9. Put bottom drawer back on rails 10. Put about 10 cups of water INTO the bottom tub. Remember, because the pump wants to run it needs water right away, not air! 11. Turn breaker back on 12. Power both drawers off 13. If no F1 message now test the bottom unit with 12 minute fast rinse cycle, then test top drawer the same I probably would not have been so persistent if I had not over the years bought several parts and installed them myself, and also we actually really like the double drawer design which only F&P has.. Also I was not impressed with the expert not even using any F&P manuals which I had downloaded and kicking me out of my kitchen so he could troubleshoot....which meant partly phoning someone else on his cell in a foreign language.

Hi, how do I fix error code F1 of a fisher & paykel draw dishwasher??

The F1 error on a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher means the flood switch was activated for seven seconds or longer. ... The dishwasher's flood switch could activate because the water is leaking around the heater plate. It would still eventually show up somewhere, though a leak like that would kill the heater plate too.

Dishwasher error f1

The manual states that fault code F1 means that the flood switch has been activated. They recommend turning off the water and power to the unit and calling them. Their phone number is: 1.888.936.787

F1 fault shows flood switch activated, how to

Hello there
This is how i did mine
saved about 300 dollars
First thing I did was pull the front panel off the drawer, batch%2010-23-04%200031.jpg
Fisher Paykel DD602 dishdrawer with the front panel removed.
With that front panel off, I pulled the wire harness connectors off the main control board (lower right-hand side) to inspect for gookus. None found--my quest continued.
The next step to remove the botton drawer from the unit so I could inspect the flood switch. In order to do this, I had to remove the wire harness cover on the underside of the drawer. This is what the underside of the dishdrawer looks like with the botton cover panel removed:
batch%2010-23-04%200041.jpg
Fisher Paykel DD602 dishdrawer, looking at the underside of one of the drawers with the wire cover plate removed.
With the bottom cover off, I could unclip the wire harness, fill hose, and drain hose. Then I unclipped the linkage at the back of the drawer and lifted the drawer off the slider arms. All this to expose the flood switch, shown on the left-hand side of the bottom panel in the picture below:.
batch%2010-23-04%200051.jpg
Fisher Paykel DD602 dishdrawer with the lower drawer removed. The flood switch in mounted on the base, left hand side.
After noting the positions of the wires on the flood switch and removing them, I unclipped the switch housing from the base panel. The switch housing contains one switch for each drawer. The switches are wired normally closed (NC) and each switch has three spade connections, so it's important to note where the wires went. With the switch housing out, I could ohm out both switches and both checked good. I inspected the contacts and noticed that one of them was oxidized, evidenced by discoloration.
and clean off the contacts. That'll restore the current flow for that circuit. ." So I cleaned the contacts and reassembled the dishdrawer. I ran the top drawer and...no F1 error code! I ran it several more times just to be sure.

F1 fault

F1 code would mean the flood switch is activated.

In Nautilus people have found this to be caused by a faulty door seal.
Water seeps under the diswasher base panel and finally the flood switch (a protection) activates.

The solution is to replace door seal after drying out under the base panel.

My Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer dd603 is flashing f1

the flood switch at the base of the dishwasher has been activated. This means moisture has gone into the base (under the drawer).

Turn power off, and extend drawer to expose bottom back of the base. Use towels / hair dryer etc to dry it out.

Likely causes are - you used a wrong detergent (too much foam) or the hoses at the back are leaking or the actuator arm that supports the hoses when you pull or push the drawer is broken and the hose is kinked.

Hope you can fix it.

Doulbe Draw model receiving an F1 error message.

F1 indicates flood switch has been activated. I wouldn't advise you attempt repair on these drawers- they really require an expert to disassemble (I worked for F+P for 10 years!!). Depending on which model you have (DD603 or DD601v2), repair varies. 603 has a small circuit board that acts as flood switch- located in base beneath drawer- requires drawer to be removed for access. 601v2 model has polystyrene float that acts as flood switch-leaks usually caused by split lid seal(tricky to access- drawer has to be removed) In either case, a leak has occurred and activated flood switch. These drawers are very sensitive to detergents (don't use tablets!!), and the way they are loaded.
Would suggest you get service technician to remedy F1 fault

My f & p dishdrawer model DD603 has fault code F1:

Yes, you need to gain access to the inside bottom panel of the dishdrawer and drain/dry the water in the bottom panel. When all of the water is gone the polystyrene block will lower and turn off the flood system. You then need to find the reason the unit flooded and rectify it or the unit will just do the same thing again.
