Hi! We have an Electrolux E36DF76EPS. I ran the self clean feature the other day. I went to use the oven the next day and realized that the oven does not work. I attempted to use each of the following settings to test the oven and see if the elements would start up; Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Roast and Broil. Nothing! I then attempted to test the oven by setting the oven back to self-clean, but the only visual response is the light indicating self-clean, but the door will not lock and thus obviously doesn't work either. Does this unit have a hi-limit switch that can be reset? I turned the power off, pulled the oven out and removed the back panel, but no switch was visible??? Help?

Hi,

Please double check that the oven is not still on cleaning mode. Also, please check the fuse(s) that your oven depends on to make sure that have not turned off or haven't blown unexpectedly.

Thank you.

Electrolux oven door won't open

Were you using the dreaded 'Self Cleaning' cycle?

Number one tip, never ever use the self cleaning cycle. The oven locks, wiring and sometimes even the hob wiring can't cope with 1,200'F.

Electrolux E36DF76EPS Why does the lock light keep flashing ( note oven works normally )

Hello Thecarsons, thank you for your post!

I understand that the lock light on your Electrolux range keeps flashing and everything else is working properly. This could be a potential problem with your latch or control panel. I would recommend looking over the latch or strike for any visible damage. If you do not see any, I would suggest performing a reset on your range. You can reset your range by disconnecting the power cord or flipping the household circuit off for at least ten minutes. If that does not resolve your problem you may need to have a technician out to your home to provide a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

try turning your breaker off for 20 minutes, then try it again,, if this does not help it could have burnt out a element or the main board has went out,,, also make for sere you are getting the full 220 volts to the unit,, this will involve taking the unit out

Self-cleaned the oven now it doesn't heat

We had the same problem earlier this week. My husband was able to get Electrolux to cover the service call. He just kept asking for the supervisor when he call their customer service rep. It apparently is an issue ... the serviceman came out today, but we have to wait another week for him to come back with the parts (something for the electronic panel that apparently will correct the issue for future cleaning cycles).

So - insist that they pay for the service call!
