Could be an issue with the lamp ballast causing intermittent operation.

do any of the lights come on or blink? A model number would be helpful in helping you.

REPLACE LAMP

In this case it seems you may have an issue with your ballast. Either it's going out or barely starting. I recommend you replace it

lamp shuts off first..with sound still on and black screen.then turns off and has three blinking lights on front panel.

check the horizontal transistor if, good.re solder your tv.

disconnect the power and hold in the power button for 30 seconds to reset it.
