Does it indicate a problem with the fan? (Page 67)

FAN STOP

blinks in the display, then the power automatically switches off.

• Something is obstructing the fan. Remove the obstruction and try switching the receiver back on. If the

fan is still not working, or you can't remove the object, unplug the receiver from the wall and call a Pioneer

Pioneer VSX830K FL OFF blinks display shows AMP OVERHEAT.

You need to determine what is overheating. For example if it uses a fan is that working? It it blocked with dust.
Operating the unit with the top cover off will quickly tell you which part is overheating. You can wait till it shuts down, then carefully, with it now unplugged, search for the hot parts. If you find only one overheating on it's own replace it.

Overheat vsx 920

The real answer, sorry this is old -- is that a temp sensor, called a thermistor has probably gone bad in your amp. A thermistor is a resistance thermometer, or a resistor whose resistance is dependent on temperature. When these go bad in the VSX pioneer amps, the amp wont even power on with NO speakers connected to it. Just instantly goes into "im overheating, turn myself off" self protection mode. On some amps this part is easy to locate and swap out. Unfortunately, some are harder to find the physical location of this thermistor .

I have a Pioneer VSX-D411 and there is dsp ng flashing, what is it

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Pioneer-VSX-D411-Receivers-manual/id/385ci976/t/2/

I believe it's trying to tell you something is wrong with its digital sound processing.

This was the best source I could find on it:
http://www.avforums.com/forums/av-amplifiers-receivers/381823-problem-pio-vsx811s-no-sound-display-says-dsp-ng.html

If you switch it to satereo / direct and the light goes out I'd say that would clinch it.
