Bearing went on HE3t Model # 11042926200. Service guy came in $550.00 to repair. Saw on line a bearing and seal kit for $79.00 "Elite bearing.com". Is it worth a shot? Also outer tub "in front of machice" all chewed up.

If you have the bearings out then the number embossed in the face of the bearings is the part number and is good for all brands of bearings . If you do not have the bearings out then go to a bearing shop (cbc,bearing service, timken,skf etc) and they will have the numbers for your vehicle probably in a kit package. half the price of genuine for the same quality.. Just take the model, year , 2 or 4 wd and vin number to match the car with the bearing kit.

you need to replace the whole tub. you can not just get the bearing and seal Sorry..

Chances are due to the description of your problem, especially the noise you describe, is most likely a serious issue. If it sounded like a jet engine when going into spin, the rear bearing may be shot which breaks the belt. This happens over time from using too much sudsy detergent and it drys out the seal and binds up the basket shaft and pow, it blows out the belt. Forget about fixing it, its a gonner! (Sorry) If you replace it with another High efficency machine, READ THE DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM TO THE LETTER. Especially the use of He detergents only!!

Had noise during spin cycle called for repair $79 dollors later its tub assembly its clamp on the back of drum cost $1000 dollors to repair so if you have 747 during spin cycle buy yourself a new machine.

I am a contractor who has used this saw for about four years. I just ordered the new motor for $79. The Husky has been a great saw. Don't waste your money buying some junk for Harbor Freight.

I rented the tool and it worked fine. The replacement steel washer had an extra rubber insert that took me a few assemble/test/disassemble cycles to find. That cost me time and the $90 late surcharge on the rental. All told though, it went as described online and in the dvd that came with the rental. Just see that the replacement parts fully match what you are replacing.

My question is whether someone else has done this and had the new bearings last more than a couple months. Two and a half months in, the washer is winding up as when the first bearings went bad. This is not a good sign, and I question the quality of the bearings.

It is a pleasure for me to offer some assistance to users all over the world. The problem you are describing to me is a very common for any amana, speed queen washers. The tub seal leaks and washes the lubricant from the upper bearing making the roaring noise in spin. The bearing needs replacement now, also the tub seal comes as a kit to rebuild all the sealing surfaces. It also does require a complete dissasembly to install the new kit plus the bearing. I would charge 3 hours labor @ 75/hr and the parts would be around $100 for the hub-n-seal kit and the bearing. However you may want to consider a new machine with a better warranty (extended warranties are a MUST these days......BUY ONE with any new appliance.
