My daughter has a Jazz HDV 149 and is now seeing a read card on her screen and then says Format... yes....no. but it won't let her do anything and her SD card has no files on it. Can this be reset? If you need further information, I will have to ask my daughter to further explain what happened. Thanks.

SOURCE: jazz hdv 178 : i have footage on sd memory card

The sd memory can be used with a usb card reader which can be connected to your computer then you can see it through Picture view that comes with windows. You can also transfer the pictures to the Hard disc and edit them.

SOURCE: how long should it take to format a 8GB sd card in a Jazz camcorder

okay I had the same problem. Turns out you really have to push the SD card in pretty hard. It should be flush with the base (as in not sticking out at all). Did that worked like a charm.

When i have the card in the camera and turn it on it says reading card and it want let me do anything

You need to format the SD card correctly for the JAZZ to read it.
Google SDFormatter and use that - a standard windows format will not work for MOST cameras and video devices.

Sd card not recognizable

I read the following spec for your camera: Recording Media Internal Flash Memory 64MB Video/Image
SD/SDHC Up To 32GB Video/Image
So, I think that an 8 GB SD card should work.

Try another capacity and brand to make it work.

When I turn on my Jazz DV 152/ T20 it displays "Read card..." and then nothing happens...I have a 4GB SDHC card by SanDisk...both camera and card are new....is this a faulty camera or am I doing something...

Usually the first thing you need to do with any SD card and Camera is to go into the settings of the your camera and Format the SD card. This has to be done for each memory card you use with that camera. i.e. a SD card formatted on a Panasonic HD camcorder won't work in your Jazz Camcorder. The formatting is different between the two camcorders. New SD cards don't come formatted.
SO try inserting the SD card into your Jazz Cam and rummage through the setting until you find your memory settings. From there find the Format Memory Card function, format the SD Card and you should be good to go.

Jazz HDV178 videos from SD card not acknowledged.

SDHC cards need a special reader. A standard SD reader won't read a SDHC

Did you unlock the SD card or accidentally lock it again?. There is a switch on the SD card to unlock it. Try this and then let me know how you make out.
