SOURCE: my Amana heat pump model

This sounds like a freon problem your system probably has a leak in the system somewhere. Amana has tons of problems with there equipment. They make there coils paper thin and they split especially on a heatpump. Amana used to be a good brand and then got bought out by goodman manufacturing and have turned there product into ****. How old is this unit?

Amana #PTC153b50AJ ser 0410686783 Customer heard a pop in unit and it went off. Breaker was tripped. Reset breaker and unit runs in a/c mode but does not heat in heat mode. This is not a heat pump but...

I'm seeing a master switch on the control board, try a reset there. But, sounds like a bad element. You need to test continuity through your heater components. When testing a component unhook wires first, as they will still have continuity even if bad with wires attached.

How to disable the energy saver of the amana ptac unit. Once the AC reach the lowest temp on the room , the unit turn off, then when room temp raise it turn on.
