I used the snow thrower the first time this year (model PP1150E27, bought in 2009 only used it the first time now), I saw blue flame came out from the muffler. When I tried to use it in the afternoon, the muffler backfired and would not start. Please advise what the problem is.

I have a Poulan Chain Saw as well. If you modle has a choke, you must have it on to start it. Once it warms up, move the choke half off and then full run position. You may also need to ensure you have a fresh fuel/oil mixture for optimum performance and to prevent frying the motor. Good luck...

Engine on 30"Craftsman 2009 snow thrower won't prime. Primer button and connecting tube look good. Primer button won't send gas to the carb.

the priming bubble can look totally perfect, but all it takes is a pin hole and right around the retaining ring is hard to spot a crack and you should also check fuel lines in tank

I am looking for belt size for HABAN 24577 snowthrower to Murray 18hp lawn tractor. Book doesn't provide size info.

I have a Haban Model No. 24577A 42" front mounted snow thrower attachment, which I have mounted to a Murray lawn tractor. I needed to replace the lower drive belt, labeled: V-Belt-Long Part No. 23948 in my Haban manual. I had found it next to impossible to find a replacement belt part number or cross-reference to other brands. I tried many belt sizes and lengths to no avail - belts broke quickly and suddenly after 1 or two uses.

While researching Haban on the internet, I realized that they also supplied snow thrower attachments for Sears Craftsman lawn tractors. A thought hit me at one point in my research... that Haban probably sold the same snow thrower chassis to all manufacturers, but only with different interfaces to the tractors. So I ordered up a belt for a different Haban model that was supplied to Sears, and I think that my intuition was correct!! I have found a belt that works with my Haban Model No. 24577A snow thrower.

The belt that appears to be a direct replacement for the Haban belt part number 23948 (long) is as follows: Kevlar Blue V-Belt 5/8" x 87". It is sold by several suppliers under various part numbers, priced at $20 to $30.

I hope this helps you.

After use my toro snow commander snow-thrower model 38602 leaks gas from the carburetor I believe from the little metal bowl under the control panel

If new call your supplier?

When finished using, turn off the fuel line, there should be a cut off tap?

Be careful you don't get cover in fuel. Play safe!

If there is a leak, most likely a failed seal or loose screw? If attempting yourself, make sure itis turned off and cold, usual safety, no naked flames/cigs/pipes/cigars.matches/ or you could be a Flaming Torch".
Otherwiswise leave it to the suppliers.
