Were to find documentation on FD39 V1.x motherboard that goes in Shuttle SD39P2

Here
http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Shuttle/SD39P2_(FD39_V1.x).html#specs
is a little information (not much)
If this your machine, this
http://www.trustedreviews.com/Shuttle-SD39P2-Barebone_Desktop-PC_review
is a good source of info.
More basic info is on the Shuttle website:
http://www.shuttle.eu/index.php?id=354&L=0
or
http://global.shuttle.com/products/productsSpec?productId=536
There is much more on the SD39P2 if you search the internet on "Shuttle SD39P2", but not all of will be specific to the motherboard.

Motherboard starts but no signal in the monitor

Hello here is the cpu list:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=CPU

Other cpu`s than them on the list, does not fit the mainboard.
This will cause the mainboard not to boot up, when the cpu is wrong.
The (wrong) cpu will fit the socket, but it does not fit the cache size, fsb, and so on.

Look also in the manual:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/P4i45G/?cat=Manual

The problem could also be the power supply failing, try to change that.

Did it boot up before you changed the cpu ???
Any beep codes ??

Look also at this page:

Good luck

In this list left-click on - English Manual for Mainboard FB65 (PDF,3.5MB)

Nope, doesn't work. Obviously Shuttle is after the almighty $$$$$, and doesn't want to support their motherboards, or people who buy them.

Note to self; AVOID Shuttle computers like the PLAGUE.

TA790XE Ver 6.0 Have been running a 9650+ for a couple years. bought a 1090T and installed it. Bios is the newest and recognizes the CPU. Win 7 boots to the point the desktop starts and then goes to a...

Hi, here you can see a list of cpu that your mainboard supports:

http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/cpu_support.php?S_ID=417

You maybe have to download a manual.
It will show you how to unlock all the cores at the cpu.
That means you have to enter the bios to make a setting
so the bios can work with the new cpu.

I did go to Shuttle to look for a bios upgrade & Shuttle does not list any bios files. I found one bios file at Softpedia & downloaded it to see the date. The .rom file is dated 11/28/2003. I gather your 2003 is close.
http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Shuttle-MK40VN-Bios-103-Download-6730.html
The current bios does not allow you to clock the CPU to its correct frequency.
AMD XP 2400+ frequency
Bus speed (MHz) = 266
Clock multiplier = 15

You can try turning on the over clocking, see the manual page 57. These setting would be normal for the AMD XP 2400+ CPU.
I'm looking at the max frequency for the Shuttle is topped out at
198MHz. As far as the IDE hard drive I'd like you to download the manufactures bootable floppy software & check the drive with this floppy disk. (Works in a dos like mode). No windows involved. The Mfg's software will test & repair the drive if needed & will also set the drive up, set cluster size, choose NTFS FAT or any other FAT you wish for windows XP. It's better than windows format. You'll fine there are other options you can turn on & off if you wish. (If you run the Mfg's software, disconnect any other hard disk drive by removing the data cable).
On a personal note, I always use the Mfg's bootable software to set up any drive be it IDE or SATA I, SATA II.
Shuttle site's.
