and is substantially less expensive than similar (Athlon 3200+) systems
currently in stores, and still offers a floppy drive (most current store
PCs, and all current emachines PCs, no longer offer a floppy drive),
while also offering the media reader found in many of the better new
PCs.
The onboard graphics are good for day to day use, as long as you're not
playing any serious 3D games. If you're a gamer, you do have the 4x/8x
AGP slot, so you can install a really good card in this otherwise
inexpensive system. I still have the Radeon 8500 from my T1860, which
was able to generate good frame rates in Unreal Tournament 2003, so I'm
looking forward to installing it in this PC and trying out UT2004. It
also has a second hard drive bay available, so I'll be able to install
the slave drive from the T1860 in this system (an 80GB drive that has
lots of data on it) and the front USB 2.0 ports make it easy to connect
an external USB 2.0 drive for backups.
