I cant take or make calls on my iphone without the headphones in.

I have had my new iphone for 5 days now, last night i was listening to music via the headphones whilst in work and my partner rang, i took the headphones out but i couldnt hear her when i answered and she couldnt hear me, i put the headphones back in to ring her back and have her on speaker phone and it worked. Even with the headphones out the icon displays the headphone symbol in the middle of the screen. I cant even listen to music through the normal phone speaker, it has to be through the headphones. What has happened? Please can you help?

Kind regards

Angharad

OK, play music and try to plug and unplug several times.
if sound heard form phone just leave.
otherwise get replaced the headphone socket.

Hi, I have Bose in-ear headphones and the sound is really bad on them since last night. It sounds like the music is really far away and without any base. I can only feintly hear the singer and one...

It sounds like you have a faulty connection between the headphones and the music device. Try fiddling with the port of your computer, iPod, or whatever else you use to listen to music. If the headphones do this on more than one device, it's a problem with them. Fiddle with the cord while you listen and see if you can target the bad area of the cord. If you can manage to listen to the headphones successfully while tweaking the cord, you might be able to use them still, if not they're probably blown or dead. Hope this helps =]

Want to know how I can listen to my music through my bluetooth

bluetooth is a type of wireless connectivity between supported devices. you can share music files with other mobile users through bluetooth , and you may use a bluetooth wireless headset to listen to the music files being played through your bluetooth enabled systems such as laptop and may also be supported by yuor phone.

Iphone bluetooth problems

Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn't (yet) have such capability built-in. But engaging the iPod function to listen to music/video audio while a call is taking place will allow you to hear said audio. Obviously this is not an ideal solution. If your phone is jailbroken, there is a tweak to enable music to be played through the bluetooth headphones but it is low quality.

Not enough volume forget about using it in the car---impossible. Can anything be done to improve

I assume you're listening without headphones since I think those would be loud enough. If you don't want to use headphones, purchase a speaker case to connect to the player. It will amplify the sound. We also use it to listen to shows on the computer. This is the one we have http://www.amazon.com/CD-Case-with-Built-in-Speakers/dp/B0009824MK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1256616442&sr=8-2

Headphone

If you wrap the headphone around your iPod, after a while, it may bend a pin in the headphone jack, causing no contact to be made, therefor one side of music. You can try to bend it back with a pin, or order a new ******** www.ifixitcom.
