My Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0 will not make my cursor move. The left and right click buttons cause the computer to react correctly, therefore I believe my wireless connection and my batteries (new) are working properly. The laser light underneath the mouse is not on and I cannot make it go on. What do I do next?

The wireless dongle plugged into the computer is on a specific frequency and you wont be able to peer it with a different mouse. However if it is a Bluetooth and not wireless, you can pair another Bluetooth mouse no problem.
try updating the mouse drivers. Go to the Verbatim manufacturer website, search your model of mouse and download the latest driver. To update drivers on windows go Control panel>device manager>mice/input device then right click your mouse and update driver software. If the mouse continues to play up even though it works on other computers then the mouse is probably incompatible with your operating system.
Hi, Check that your desk or table is level. Also download and run an adware scanner. ( adaware, Ccleaner and Malwarebites are good scanners) Run your anti-virus too. This should fix it. Good luck.

Go to Control Panel and click on the Mouse icon. Then
the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse buttons. Put the pointer on the left button and then go to the drop down and make sure the buttoon is set properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Try going to Control Panel and click on the mouse icon. Then the mouse properties will appear showing the mouse. In the left column, move your cursor over the right side button click on the drop down and select magnify. Hopefully it will now work.
I had to move the magnify function to the left button because it was to sensitive on the right.
