Sansa fuze When I open Window media Player 11 and try to sync music to my sansa fuze I click on sync but when I connect my device I still says connect a device.My computer reads it but the WMP 111 doesn't.PLease help!!                 Thanks to who ever helps me!!

Hi, Is the SanDisk Sansa Fuze compatible with iTunes? In some ways, it is. Unfortunately, the Sansa Fuze and iTunes don't always play nice together. You'll have to get a few workarounds to make these two sync together.

The SanDisk Sansa Fuze and iTunes

The SanDisk Sansa Fuze is natively a Windows product. You should be able to sync it with Windows Media Player automatically. However, not everyone owns a Windows PC and even if they do, they might store more music in their iTunes library.

If this is the case for you, you might find it helpful to be able to sync your Sansa Fuze with your iTunes music library. Bear in mind that you won't be able to sync apps, games or any other iTunes products that are not formatted for use on a Sansa Fuze.
Using iTunes with the Sansa Fuze

So, is the SanDisk Sansa Fuze compatible with iTunes? If you download the right software, it is. Apple offers a free download that works with many other non-iPod MP3 players, Sansa Fuze included.

Unfortunately, this product only runs on a Mac operating system. However, if you own a Mac, this is great news because it means you can still use your Fuze without buying a Windows PC.

If you use a Windows PC and want to transfer your iTunes music to the Fuze, don't lose hope - there's a way to do that, too.
Syncing the Sansa Fuze with iTunes

If you're using a Mac, visit this link for Apple's free software download. It comes directly from Apple, so you can be assured that it's spyware-free.

Install the software on your Mac. You need Mac OS X 10.4 or higher as well as iTunes version 8 or higher.

Plug your Sansa Fuze into the Mac and wait for the software to open. You should see a listing of your iTunes music library pop open in a window. You're then given the option to sync as many songs as possible onto your Fuze.

The syncing process is similar to syncing an iPod. Don't unplug the device until it's finished.
Syncing the iTunes Library in Windows

You can sync your Sansa Fuze with iTunes using a script called the Automator, found here. Once downloaded, open the script under your "Downloads" folder on your "C:" drive and find a string of characters that looks like this: "/Users/richard/Music/*.mp3".

Replace the name "Richard" with your own username. Don't change anything else. Select "File," "Save" from the menu.

Select the Automator icon with the right click button on your mouse and choose "Open with," "Automator Runner." If working properly, this should automatically sync the music from iTunes with your Sansa Fuze.

If that doesn't work, go into your iTunes library and highlight any DRM-protected tracks that you purchased from iTunes. Right-click and select "Make MP3 Version." These should now be compatible with the Automator.

This sounds like more or less of a "hack" than a solution, but this might be the only way to sync music from iTunes to your Fuze using Windows. If all else fails, make MP3 versions of the songs as shown above, then navigate to your iTunes folder where those files are stored. Then drag and drop these into Windows Media Player, where they should sync right onto your Fuze.

To turn the player on, slide the Power switch up then release instantly. If that does not get your player working again, try and Format to clear any corrupt files that may be present. You will lose all your music - sorry. For the Sansa Clip: 1. From the Main Menu, in the player -> select Settings -> Format. 2. Select Yes. You can also format using Media Player if you have unfrozen your player.1. ->start Media PlayerIf you have Media Player 10 --- Connect the Sansa player to the PC in MTP (See next step to change to MTP mode) . 1. Turn the player OFF. 2. Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing). 3. Press and hold the center button while connecting the player to the PC with the USB cable. once you have done that... Click on the Sync tab.(be sure your player shows in the pull down menu)Click the pencil icon on the upper right corner of the window.Click OK to start formatting. Now if you have Media Player 11---Click the Sync tab.On the left panel, look for the device. It is usually the last device listed.Right-click on the device and select FormatClick OK to format.

thats easy. you plug the device into the computer and open itunes, windows media, ect. and look in the side bar for you device. it should say something along the lines of Sansa fuze 2gb.  (windows media) go to the sync tab and select library there should be a side bar labeled the devices name on the right side. drag music from the library by clicking and holding the selected items and moving it into the sidebar. when you are done with selecting  music simply click the sync  button at the bottom of the sync sidebar.  (itunes) open a new itunes window and drag items from your library to you device and click sync.

You need a USB cable which you need to connect to your computer. This cable also serves as a charger. You will probably need to load(rip) the music from a CD to your computer into a program called Windows Media Player. Then you will use this program (Windows Media Player) to "sync" your MP3 player to the computer from which you can download music to your MP3 player. [email protected]

Open media player to view all your files.
Connect sansa and make sure computer reads it.
Now on top of media player, you will see a sync button, press it now.
Now copy songs from your list and add them to the box on far right screen. Then sync to device.

I used Windows Media Player 11 to move music to my Fuze.

1. Plug your Fuze into an USB port on your computer using the provided adapter cord. Windows will detect the Fuze and install it if need be.
   
2. Once Windows has done its thing, open WMP11 and select the "Sync" tab.
3. You can now drag and drop your music from your Library on the left to your Sync Playlist on the right.
4. Once you've moved your selections, click on the "Start Sync" button at the bottom of the right side.
   
5. The music will be uploaded to your Fuze.

You can have WMP11 detect your music and put it into your Library by pressing the F3 key. Press F3, navigate to your music folder with the Add button, and then press OK. You can remove folders from the list in the same manner.

First, you will want to plug the Sansa player into the computer. Then click the Library tab in Windows Media Player. You will most likely be in Music view. You will see two sets of folders in the left-hand side of Windows Media Player. The first set are all the files stored in your computer. The second set of folders underneath the line that says Sansa 1GB Mp3 player (I forget the exact wording) has all the files that are stored in your Sansa player. Click on the "All Songs" folder. You can individually delete all the songs that you want by left-clicking once on the song name in the middle of the Windows Media Player window, and then pressing "Delete" on your computer's keyboard. You will have to repeat this process again for images, videos, etc by clicking the little arrow next to the picture of the musical note on the upper left hand corner of Windows Media Player, and expanding the dropdown menu, and selecting "images"...then "Videos" etc.
NOTE: After plugging in your Sansa player, if you see a message that says "Connect a Device" in the Sync tab on Windows Media Player, then the cmputer is not properly recognizing your Sansa player, and you may need additional instructions from me.

What happened when you tried to sync? it could be a device certificate error...what i would recommend you to do is to sync using your windows media player...assuming that you have windows media player 11...open up your windows media player and click on sync..then you can drag the tracks you want to sync and then click on start sync...if you are not able to transfer the songs to it..use a song that is not from yahoo like the sample one that came with your computer and see what happen...if that doesnt solve the problem check your usb mode..it should be under MTP mode or auto....then open up your windows media player and format the device there...after you have done that..that should solve the problem you are having..let me know what the outcome is....
