Question about Symphonic ST420FF 20" TV
My fairly new TV has lost the ability to recognize the remote. tried new ones, reprogramming the old one, everything I can think of and I guess the infrared "eye" has gone out. I was told by 2 different "experts" that if I buy the DTV converter box I can then use the remote. We weren't going to need the boxes since we have cable, but if they would solve my problem, it would be better than trying to take the TV in for repair.
We tried hooking one of the boxes up and it goes thro the channel scan and everything, but then says no channels found. We tried the second one and it did the same thing. I am at a loss as to the problem. It wouldn't be the fact that we have cable would it? Or is something else wrong?
Thanks for your help
May be the problem is the how you connect the converter to the tv... it shoud be connected at the video in and audio in of the tv... and the cable wire should be plug in the Rf in of the converter.. you can scan all the channel thru the remote..
