SOURCE: Panasonic Kxt 7731

What happens when you dial "9" into the intercom dial tone? Is that the line you wnat to auto select?

A lot depends on the system your phone is connected with. In a TA series on an idle phone, press PROGRAM 11 for no preference (what you have) 12 for Idle line (what you get when you dial 9) or 13 and a number from 1 to however many lines you have to select a specific line.
Those commands are followed by the STORE button and PROGRAM to end the programming.

You have to do 2 things: Make it ring and turn on Line Preference-Incoming Ringing line. The first is done from SYSTEM programming in programs 408/409/410 for DAY/NIGHT/LUNCH. The second is defaulted to Ringing so if the phone rings, it's supposed to work. If you've changed it, then from your idle phone you press PROGRAM and dial 22 STORE. (21 is no preference and 23 plus a number is a specific line).

Does a panasonic kx t 7731 have built in voicemail and if so how do i program it

You need to get a voicemail system. The 7731 is just a phone, but it can be used to access Panasonic VM or Built In Voicemail in a TA-824 system. The external product is a model TVA-50 and it comes with documentation on how to interface it to your phone system. If you have an old KXT-308 or 616, or any other older Panasonic system prior to a TD-816/1232, you're going to have a problem.

What to dial to access panasonic esa phone 616

Panasonic never issued a manual for R3. It was done with addendums that got you from R1 to R2 to R3. I think these are the right codes, but you may have to test them.

External page should be 33.
All Page (internal, I think) is 34. It's also the page transfer code.
Groups 1-4 are 35-38. (All phones are in group 1 by default)

43 is the "meet-me" code. It can retrieve any page or transfer to page.

Here's a link to a manual(s) if you need it.
