How to install ink for model 4300-001 color inkjet printer

actually you cannot print it without the color ink installed

Remove color ink cartridge from the printer and re-install. If this doesn't work, un-install the printer software and re-install. This should fix your problems.

If when you attempt to print only with the black cartridge installed but it won't print, then this specific printer requires that color ink also be installed. Typical with most inkjets.

try to check  the printer setting of your printer maybe it enabled the black color printing setup in your printer. Then try also to remove the color ink cartridge then installed it back and try to print it again.

Are they genuine lexmark inkjets? Sometimes an alternative brand of ink will have a degraded quality than the genuine inks.

Try taking the colored inkjet out, shake it a little then put it back in. Also make sure the plastic seal that protects the ink has already been taken out of the ink replacements.

Then run a print head cleaning. You can do this from the printer's properties window. Maybe under the maintenance tab or similar.

Are the Jets clean and unobstructed? Depending on printer model, have you cleaned your print heads? Consider also it may be a defective cartridge.

try to print a few pages, to get the ink going.

try test pages, try the aligning procedures as well.

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.
