Go to the Lexmark Imaging icon (located on the taskbar) and look to the left and down the bottom. You will see Network Settings, click on the "view or change network settings." When you get in, uncheck the "I WISH TO REQUIRE A PIN TO SCAN TO MY COMPUTER" and then press OK. This will remove the pin setting from your scanner. Lexmark technical support just did that for me, now my printer does not ask for a pin number.

ok well i've turned on the printer push scan mode then it askes me to select a computer which i wish to scan after i have select the computer (there is only 1 computer hooked up to the printer)
then it askes for a 4 digit pin number
