Archos 504 RESET button

Where is the archos 504 RESET button I was watching a movie with my Archos 504 80Gb in my Flat panel TV and suddenly,the Archos tun off and I can't to turn on with the battery or AC power.I check in Archos.com the solution and I find I need to reset with the botton inside but I can't find it.
Please I need help to solve my problem

Please open Battery cover and PRess Small Golden button just near the HDD , it will restart the Devie

Press and hold power button till it turns off then continute to hold power button till it turns back on again let go of power button imediately let it boot up follow promts i had to do that a couple times before replacing the one i have i have had the replacement for 15 + months now no problem if it becomes an issue call archos have them replace it best case you pay shipping worst case you pay repair cost aprox 25% of original price although warantee negates that cost hope this helps if other peoples suggestions have not

Archos 504 comes on when plugged in briefly but no charge
I had the exact same problem, I looked a bit on the net and I found the answer. What you have to do is push the reset button when your archos isn't plugged on. The reset button is located behind the battery ( you'll have to the remove the battery ) near the pins that connects the archos to its battery. It looks like a gold circle and if you push it you'll see it's a button. After pushing the reset button try to put the battery on back again and replug your archos, it should work normally now.

No power whatsoever to my Archos 504
There is little documentation regarding the reset. However there is one in the Archos 504. If you take the battery off and look at the connecting Pins of the battery of the main unit. You will see a small Gold Button (looks like the circuit). This is the main reset button. If you Press it all will be good. You will not loose anything unless you have a Main File corrept but at least you will get function back so you can fix the firm ware.

hold the tv button slightly earlier than holding the power button, first tv then power (while still pressing the tv button). it should first boot up to a normal green ARCHOS screen, then it will enter the recovery mode.

solution found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you so much for the support of the Archos team. here is what i did to repair my 504
if your "reset" button doesn't help at all, this is what you'll do.

If you power on the unit by pressing and holding the TV/LCD button and power
button simultaneously the unit will boot into a recovery screen. Once in this
screen choose "Repair Disk" and follow the on screen instructions.

When prompted, please place the following file into the 'root directory' of
the unit:

http://update.archos.com/4/a504/a504_r1.6.53/a504.aos

before i found this solution, i've already given up on my 504, but now it's back!!!! REBIRTH!!!
