Greetings,
if you have a filter on top there is usually two screws, remove these screws...use a putty knife to go under each corner and raise up. don't forget to unplug machine before you go this far....after top is raised. There are two screws in each inside corner of the front...remove those, disconnect any wiring on the door switch paying attention to where the wires go. Remove front and this gives you access to replace belt. the belt goes over the drum and through the belt pulley.. The belt pulley clips into a slot next to the front of the motor and lines up with the motor pulley. The belt goes thru the pulley and then around to the drive pulley on the motor... reinstall and all is well

Kenmore 110.60812990 does not tumble, heat element stays on.

not being there and physically seeing for myself, my first check would be belt and idler pulley.

I have a Kenmore gas dryer Model # 22000. It heats but the drum isn't turning. What could be the problem?

When your dryer stopped spinning it is most likely caused by a broken belt, you can reach to the drum and try turning it by hand and if it spins easily, the belt is probably broken or slipped off. A not spinning dryer can be also due to a faulty drum roller. In rare cases the motor is faulty and the dryer won't spin.

I got this from https://www.electrafixbc.ca/appliances/dryer.html
Check it out for more info on your dryer drum issue. Good luck!

Dyer will not turn on. Can hole the starter button in and dryer will run. remove and the dryer will stop running. When holding the start button the dryer does not heat. Any Idea's as to what may be...

broken belt or broken broken belt switch most likely. Open the door. Hold in the door switch and push the start button. Does the drum turn? If it does turn then the broken belt micro switch is where I would look first. If the drum don't turn of course I would replace the broken belt.
The only Kenmore dryer that has a broken belt switch is the 4 wheel drive model. Here is a video which shows how to get into this dryer and replace the belt:

My kenmore electric dryer turns on and heats but the drum doesn't turn?

that would be a broken belt, or the motor, I say belt. You will need to open the top of the dryer and look in the middle of the drum for a belt, which is not there I am sure, here are some websites,Tim:

how to change belt:

belt routing Kenmore is same as Whirlpool:

My dryer is heating but the drum is not turning, what is the problem?

What you are describing usually means that the drum belt on your dryer is probably broken
There is a simple way to test for this.
1 remove the clothes from the dryer.
2 while the machine is off put your hand inside the empty drum and turn it. If it is easy to turn, the belt is broken. If it is difficult to turn, the belt is good.
Almost all of the time, it is a broken belt.
The link below has the full procedure for changing the belt.

Hope this helps,

Kenmore dryer drum will not turn.

This is commonly caused by a broken dryer belt. If you post back with your model number, I can explain to you how to verify and/or replace the belt.

KENMORE DRYER MOD# LEQ9858LWO WILL NOT TURN BUT HEATS

If you hear a humming, then it is probably a broken or slipped belt from the motor to the drum. There is usually a pully on the shaft of the motor, a tensioner pully on a spring, and a groove on the back of the drum that the belt rides in. If this belt breaks or comes off track, the motor will still spin but the drum won't.

You will probably need to take the front or back off of the dryer (varies by model) to expose a view of the belt, and once you do this, it will be easier to see if the motor is turning or the belt has broken or slipped.

If the belt has slipped, be sure to inspect it for wear, and replace it if worn. Otherwise, it will slip again and you'll have to repeat the process.

Kenmore Heavy Dut Model 86427810 runs but does not heat

You need to have a look at the thermal protection devices and the thermostat section and make sure they are functioning such that power is reaching the heating elements. If they are and there is still no heat, the elements are probably malfunctioning. If the dryer is producing ANY heat, then the thermostat and thermal circuit is OK, and all you need are elements.
