Lifecam VX-3000 video is a bit jerky and sound breaks up. What can I do?

I just instaled the Lifecam VX-3000 and the picture I am viewing and sound are not in sync. The video is sometimes a bit jerky and the sounds breaks up on both sides. I've played wtih all the adjustments and cannot find a soution. Could the internet connection be the problem? I have DSL Ultra.

    I am using the VX-3000 for laptop and a VX-6000 on the other end. The person using the vx-6000 can see and hear everything fine, however, I cannot understand what the other person is saying because it is broken and choppy. I have tried using 3 different internet connections and they all sound horrible.

    Thanks sgatkins for your feedback. I upgraded my internet connection and there is no improvement in the audio. Does anyone have an idea why the sound breaks up on both sides?

We went back into the audio/video settings and readjusted the microphone volume (increase) on the vx-6000 and it seemed to clear it up a good bit.

This should be an easy fix:

While viewing yourself with the webcam on, rotate the black plastic ring on the front of the camera right or left until you see a clear picture.

Hi there,
You can still download the drivers from the links below for your windows
For Windows 7 LifeCam 3.2 32-bit and 64-bit for Windows 7
For Windows XP (32-Bit) LifeCam 3.2 32-bit for Windows XP SP2 or higher (excluding 64-bit)
For Windows XP (64-Bit) LifeCam 2.04 for Windows XP 64-bit
Download the drivers, unplug the camera from the computer and run the setup Lifecam3.22.exe, Install the drivers and follow on-screen instruction, Within the setup it might will prompt you to plug in the camera, connect the camera and the drivers will be loaded automatically and you will need to restart your computer once,

How do you change the focus on the microsoft lifecam vx-3000 the picture is currently all blurry

The LifeCam VX-3000 has a focus ring which you can adjust to make the image sharper. You can also try the tips recommended in the article How To Improve Your Webcam Video Quality.

Microsoft lifecam vx 3000 blurred outcome

You have to turn the outside ring on the camera and adjust it till it's clear. hold the camrea base and turn the outter ring it will move adust one direction then the other till you get a clear picture.
