I have a Casio Exilim EX-Z33 and i dropped it a while ago and it continued to work (kind of, the images were a bit blurry). i took a picture five minutes ago and then turned it off. the lens went in but the camera kept making a whirring noise. that noise got annoying so i took out the battery to stop it then put the battery back in. i tried to turn it on, but it made the whirring noise, the lens stayed in, and it said LENS ERROR on the screen. my camera is only about a year old.

Sounds like the focus motor came loose - you need to take it apart and repair the gear that drives the lens assembly for focusing. The noise you're hearing is the motor trying to focus but since the lens cannot focus it continues to run and signals an error.

I have a casio exilim 10.1 camera, how can I get a owners manual?

Many Casio Digital camera manuals are available here: https://world.casio.com/manual/dc/ . Check the full model number since 10.1 indicates the effective number of pixels on the camera sensor. Select your preferred language and then use the drop-down menus to select the full prefix and then specific camera model. There are several Exilim 10.1 MP cameras, including the EX-Z29 and EX Z33. The current link to the Exilim EX-Z29 (North American version) manual in English is https://support.casio.com/en/manual/001/EXZ29_MF_FB_na_EN.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Casio Exslim EX-Z33: Lens Error Message; Lens stuck

The camera might not of had been dropped or abused at that moment, but it sounds like one of your ribbons is not full connected to its port due to a previous unnoticeable drop or mishandling. In other words, if you are savvy enough to open the camera, remove the ribbons (2 of them, found on the front side of the camera coming from the lens) and re-insert them into their ports. I have only needed to do this once on this particular camera, but at least 30 times on the Exilim line of Casio cameras. Hope this helps.

I have a Casio Exilim Zoom EX-Z80 Digital Camera. And my promblem is that once i zoom out everything is blurry. The whole picture is blurry but once I zoom out it is a bit better but not as much. I need...

Try cleaning the lens gently with a lens cloth or maybe a damp paper towel? Other than that - you may have something stuck in your lens that is making everything blurry when you zooom in...or the lens may need to be replaced to be fully functional. Do you notice any blurry spots when you zoom out that get bigger when you zoom in? If so something may be stuck in your lens. Good luck!

Casio Exilim ex-z57 inconsistent blurry pics

Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and giving the camera time to lock in the focus before pressing the rest of the way? If not, the good pictures were just luck. The size of the card has nothing to do with it.

My Casio EXILIM EX-Z70 Digital Camera turns on and take pictures and everything but the pictures come out blurry. Any way I can fix it ?

Make sure the lens is clean. Exhale on it and wipe carefully with a lens tissue. You also may want to set the "image quality" setting to "High."

Blurry pictures

IF YOUR PICTURES ARE BLURRY IN THE LCD, THEN YOU MOST LIKELY DO HAVE A PROBLEM. WAS THIS CAMERA BOUGHT ON AN AUCTION OR SECOND HAND, THAT YOU ARE NOT SURE IF IT WAS DROPPED? IF IT WAS DROPPED, IT MAYBE REPAIRABLE, BUT REPAIRS ARE USUALLY EXPENSIVE AND SOMETMES IT'S BETTER TO INVEST IN A NEWER CAMERA. SORRY, BUT I DON'T WANT YOU SHOCKED BY REPAIR ESTIMATES. FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT, THE REPAIR COST WILL EXCEED THE COST OF THE CAMERA. SORRY. SO, CHECK THE LCD AND IF THE PICTURE THERE IS ALSO BLURRY, THE CAMERA PROBABLY HAS BEEN DROPPED AND OCCURRED SHOCK DAMAGE . IF THE LENS WAS OUT WHEN IT WAS DROPPED, YOU MIGHT TRY TO GENTLY PULL ON THE LENS WITH THE CAMERA ON. THIS SOMETIMES WILL ALIGN THE LENS AGAIN. HOPE THIS HELPS. IF YOU NEED MORE HELP, REPLY TO ARCLIGHT1217. IT THIS WAS HELPFUL, PLEASE RATE!
THANKS!

I have a Casio EX 260, not the EX-S600

Try resetting camera. If that doesn't work more than likely there is a lens error. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.

This is the lens focus gears. They are either knocked out of alignment, or debris has jammed them.

Help

Do the pictures have lines across them as well as being blurry? If you see the lines then your shutter is stuck open and it will require repair. The shutter has to close for the image sensor to properly record the image. If they have no abnormal lines on them, are they "out of focus" blurry or is it more of a streaked motion blur kind of thing? If you do need to get the camera repaired you should check with your manufacturer for any recalls or technical bulletins, and see if they will service your camera under warranty. If not there are a number of repair facilitys available on the internet who generally have better rates than out-of-warranty service at the factory. David Millier Advance Camera Repair
