Press PROGRAM the button where line 2 used to be, and dial 02 STORE.

That should bring line 2 back onto the button.

this sounds exactly like my problem but I'm not sure what you mean by "the button where line 2 used to be". Do you mean that CO2 flexible button? Because if that's the case, darn it, its not working for me. :-( I pressed PROG and then the CO2 button and then 0 2 and then STORE but the display then shows "Program No? -->

My phone doesn't have dial tone. Each time I dial a number and try to call,it wont work. I call my phone but it wont ring. I need help on this. What happen to the phone? Or what should I do?

If you have another phone connect it to the wall outlet to see if you get a dial tone. This will indicate if your base unit is faulty.
Check the power adapter to the base unit, make sure it is getting mains power.
If the base unit has dual phone lines and if line 1 is only connected and the line 2 has beed selected then you cannot get a dial tone. In the chase press the line 1 to get a dial tone.
If your base unit has only one line then check the phone line at the wall socket make sure it is plugged in tight, also check the the connection at the base unit.
If this does not work then ring the phone company and get the to test your phone line, you may have a faulty line to your home.

I was storing some extension numbers and spead dial numbers and I must have done something wrong as anytime I pick up handset to make a call a 'reorder tone' message comes up on the display- this is before...

So don't pick up the handset :-)

There are some line preference and pickup dial programs that just happen to sit in PROGRAM 1x. My guess is that you have assigned an empty or invalid pickup dial code to the phone.

Try this first. Press PROGRAM and dial 12 ENTER. Is the Hot Line mode ON? If it is, press SEL and ENTER. Wow. That was easy :-)

Didn't work? Let's go for Preferred Line Outgoing next. Dial PROGRAM 19 and 3 ENTER. That makes the intercom prime (0 is none, 1 is idle line 2 (xx) is a specific line).

If you tried both of these, and still no joy, then it's time to reset the phone. The problem with that is you have to dial the code IMMEDIATELY as you're picking up the handset. Good luck with that. The reset code is 79# or 790.

Verifone Omni 3750 - ''Please try again - LC''

Is the hotel line going through a switchboard? If so you might need to add a 9 or whatever number is required to dial an outside line, to the number it tries to dial.
Or maybe it's the opposite. Maybe at the office it's dialing out and it's set up that way and at the hotel it might be a direct line and you will need to remove the 9 or whatever number is required to dial an outside line.
Or the line quality is too low.
Or maybe you need a microfilter if the line has adsl broadband on it.

Office jet all in one printer 4215

If you are using speed dial to dial the fax number, the HP Officejet
might be dialing too fast or too soon. To solve this problem, try one
of the following:
Try manually dialing the fax number from the HP Officejet front
panel, or from an attached phone. For information, see send a
fax using monitor dialing
on page 43 or send a fax manually
from a telephone
on page 43.
Re-create the speed dial setting and insert some pauses. For
information, see create individual speed-dial entries on
page 56.
If your telephone line has a PBX system, make sure you are dialing
the number for an outside line before dialing the fax number.
The receiving fax machine might be having problems. To check this,
try calling the fax number from a telephone and listen for fax tones.
If you cannot hear fax tones, the receiving fax might not be turned
on or connected, or a voice mail service could be interfering with
the recipient’s phone line.

NO Dial Tone on Verifone tranz 380

It could be the number programmed to dial is invalid, or it needs a PABX (8 or 9, etc)

If you have digital lines, these terminals will function in an inconsistant way. Make sure you are using a dedicated analog line. If you have a fax machine, try that line.

You can try slowing down the speed by checking fields 542 and 543 and changing them from 2 to 1.

You're best bet is to call you terminal software provider.

Fax is on pulse dial

Go to the Utility menu, select "Administrator Settings" (password required) from there , fax settings, telephone line. In here you should be able to set the dialing method. There should only be 2 options, just pick the other one. (PB is for tone i believe)
