In order for this to work properly it must be inserted between the last pre-amp stage and the power amp. Can you please update this with the mixer that you are using? With the make and model of the mixer, I can provide you with a connection description. Since each mixer will have different labeling and options, it is not possible for me to accurately describe the connections without hte make and model.

    Not sure about that person's powered mixer, but I have the Behringer Feedback Destroyer and a Yamaha 312SC powered mixer, and so far I haven't had luck. It says I need to bring the return back to channels 5/6 or above, but I'm not sure what type of cable to use, and whether I then control the volume on the return channel or the source channel. Thanks!

What is the best way to connect an external EQ or Feedback Destroyer unit to a Behringer PMP3000
Get an "insert snake" which splits each of two TRS plugs into TWO TS plugs.
Plug the TRS ends into the MAIN INSERT jacks and each of the "TIP" plugs at the other end into inpout jacks of the destroyer. Plug the "RING" plugs into the output jacks of the destroyer. You will need a snake with at least two sets of splits. I use a Behringer PROCOM compressor. For those the TRS plugs go into the channel insert jacks and the tips and ring plugs go to the in and out of each channel of the compressor respectively.

You DON'T connect speakers to this... this is NOT a powered mixer... you MUST use external amplifier !!!! You use bvalanced (TRS) cables to a suitable power amplifier which connects to speakers. Some Behringer mixers such as the PMP5000 have built in amplifiers to drive speakers... yours does not.

How to connect feedback destroyer pro dsp1124p ?
It all depends what you are connecting it to... Essentially wire it someplace between the preamps of microphones and the power amps that drive speakers. The only stipulation is that you want the levels to be "line level" signals.

If you are using a powered mixer, you will do this as an "insert" using the insert effect jacks. The preamp signal goes to the "in" of the destroyer, and the "out" goes to the following amp.

What are you going to hook up to?

Essentially you connect the power cord to power and connect outputs from say a mixer to the inputs using TRS balanced cables... and connect the outputs of the unit to your power amplifier.

Note taht there are MANY other possibilities using "inserts:on some devices.

I have Behringer pmp 2000 mixer but it burned my fuse. How can I buy it?
If the fuse blew do NOT replace it till the unit is serviced or you will burn up more components. These units will blow out from a minimum of three to 30 components when they blow.

There is weak insulation between layers of the power amp circuit board and the arcing destroys a minimum of three transistors and often many more components on the power supply board as well.

I have repaired several of these and it is a lot of work. The power amp module can be had for about $175 but it often takes out the power supply as well.

I just repaired a PMP3000.

A bit of warning on these. Do not let a speaker leads get pulled while powered. They can arc out the power amp causing extensive damage.

If the fuse ever blows do NOT replace the fuse as much more damage will result. Service the unit before using.
