Have an LG split system air conditioner. No way to turn it on or off on system. Remote only and it is not working. Did this a week ago and changed batteries, took a while before new batteries worked as tried several brands then it worked great for a week, turned on and off every time. Today doesn't work again at all. Turned a/c off at meter box as plugged direct into box. Changed batteries with new ones and other ones from other remotes a dozen times, pressed the reset several times. Nothing working. I am assuming it needs a new remote, I am in Qld, Australia, where do I get one?

Before buying new one, try with this step. Remove batteries from your remote and reset it after 5 minutes. And also remove DC wires plugged to indoor sensor display, and after 5 minutes re set it again. Now start your unit. Sometimes it will work out. Thanks.

I have lg lsl 122v-3 split system which dose not heat on cold mornings, say from 3deg outdoor temperature with ice forming on condensor.The time span is from 7am to 9.30 am.lg are absoluteley uselesson their site.Can any one help

Sound like a defective receiver board. Have this checked. Also check to see that your remote transmits. Hold the top part of the remote to your phone or digital camera lens. press a button and a light should appear on the screen of your phone or digital camera screen.

Hi,

Most probably if the remote works on the other units then the receiver on your problem unit is busted. You have to call an authorized service repair shopr to replace the board.

Remote is working- but unit won't turn on
check your remote control using your camera or cellphone camera as your eyes. Point the remote control transmitter to your camera and "on", light should emit in your remote control transmitter (means good remote). Check for reset or rst button in your remote control and push it to reset and test it in your unit. If wont work means either the receiver board or mean board is defective.You need a qualified tech. for this problem. For the mean time you can use manual button to operate the unit.
