If the hoses are connected right and they are in good condition, it could be bad gas, sparkplug or carburetor needs cleaned and/or a rebuild kit. Check the link below for parts:

Can't start and gas is not being pulled thru the filter. How do I test to make sure my fuel pump is working?

Pull the spark plug wire to make sure the engine doesn't start. First check the line from the gas tank to the pump. Disconnect the fuel line from the gas tank at the fuel pump. Take off your gas tank fill cap and using light air pressure, blow into the line to see if you get bubbles in the gas tank. Canned air for cleaning computers or compressed air at a very low setting work well for this. Do not use high pressure so you don't burst the line or blow it off a connection that's not easy to get at. If no bubbles come up in the tank, check the line and pickup area of the tank. If the line is clear, reconnect everything. Disconnect the fuel line at the carburator. Holding the end of the fuel line in a small jar, turn the motor over. If the pump is OK it should shoot gas into the jar. If not the pump should be replaced. If it does check your float and needle valve in the carburator bowl.

Replaced the fuel line on my WEEDEATER GTI 17 XP grass trimmer. Having trouble bleeding the fuel line. Is there a poecial technique? I filled the gas tank and let the gas flow through the line until I...

The fuel line is self bleeding, if there is a lot of air in the pipe there must be a hole in the pipe or the filter is not completlt submerged in the fuel.

Installed new fuel pump because car had old gas in tank. removed tank and completly drained it. replaced tank and installed new fuel pump and fuel filter. put about 6 gallons of gas in car. have tried to...

Okay, you need to make sure the fuel pump is getting power and that you have the lines hooked up correctly. Also, when you replace fuel pumps you need to remove the air cleaner and use starter fluid to get the engine started.

I have a problem with my electric generator (don't start ) i allready replaced the sparkplug and new gas and still doesn't start (chicago electric 5500 watts)

did you blow out old gas from gas line going to carb? if this generator set up over the winter with no use, it probably has water condensation in the gas tank which has gotten into the gas line and carb. If you didnt do it already, blow undo the gas line off the tank and use compressed air (or by mouth) to blow out all the fule out of the line and carb. If you did not drain the old gas out before adding new gas, there still may be water in the tank and line. Try this and see if it fixes it. Give it time for the new gas to get through the line to the carb. To avoid this, keep the fuel tank full especially over the winter and you will not get any water condensation.

My weed eater trimmer gas lines disintegrated. I've replaced them and the filter but the trimmer still won't start. What might be the problem?

There might still be air bubbles trapped in the new gas line. First make sure that is enough gas in the tank. Try pumping the dome shaped transparent rubber to get the air out and let the gas in. Try starting again.

Hope this helps!

Some one played a bad joke on me they put antifrezee in my gas tank and what to do to get out

Take to a garage and you will soon find out that "bad joke" is the wrong name for this. All gas must be removed and gas tank dropped and cleaned. you can only hope that that will fix it. Fuel pump, line and injectors may also need attention.

Starting problem

Pull the gas line of the carbureator and drain the line. Crank the mower for awhile to get all that bad gas out of the line and bowl, then re-install the line and continue to crank it over. That should work, otherwise, you may need some cleaning performed. One thing you can do once you get ready to start it with clean gas, remover air breather, take a small rag slightly soaked in gas and momentarilly hold it over the air intake of the carb when you crank it over. That usually gets it going and it might be fine after that. You just have to get that bad gas completely out of the system.

2003 escalade will not start after running it out of gas

My wife ran out of gas once and I had to bleed the fuel lines of air that had been sucked in before gas would travel through the lines. Kinda like you would have to bleed air out of hydraulic brake lines.

Air in the gas line

There is a bleed valve at the end of your fuel rail on the passenger side. Right behind your powersteering pump.
