I think the reason we can't find the manual for 320.48253 is because Ryobi took Craftsman to court claiming patent infringement because of one of the bases included in the Craftsman kit.The suction cup wall hanging base was to similiar to Ryobi's Airgrip base so Craftsman agreed to not sell in the USA no more.

The 48252 is kind of "finniky". Angle has to be good, surface not irregular or like a cusion, can't be anything in the way. There's a troubleshooting section in the manual - I have attached it in case your's got misplaced.
