I dont have the instalation disc and i need to set up a security password

eh, that disc is just bloat ware anyway (you don't need it)
1) connect hard line to your router (that big phone line looking cord goes from port 1,2,3 OR 4 to your computer)
2) open your web browser (IE, chrome, safari, whatever)
3) go to "192.168.1.1"
4)should ask for username and password (use "admin" and "password" for netgears... "admin" and "admin" for cisco linksys)
5) go to your wireless tab
6) choose a name and type in at SSID then click "save settings"
7) maybe same tab or maybe under "wireless security tab" choose WPA WPA2 personal and choose a password and save settings again.
9) now hook everything up normal and connect to your new wireless network!

You may try default phone and security code to remove restrictions.
ur defalt phones codes is 12345 or 00000 u can use it
Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000

Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.

you can configure it with below method. You can also configure it with below method.
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. Then click on WAN settings set it as your internet service provider settings enable DHCP Then click on wireless and enable it. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. to configure the netgear router and to secure its network. . . . 1, first make sure that your laptop is connected directly to the netgear router via ethernet cable. 2. after securing step 1, on your computer, open browser, ( internet explorer or firefox ) 3. go to the address bar, the one with the http:\\ and erase everything inside it. 4. type in there, 192.168.1.1 or www.routerlogin.net. 5. username is " admin " password is " password " 6. you would see netgear set up wizard. 7. for wireless configuration, click wireless settings on the left side of the set up wizard. 8. you can edit network name, and get your network security key under security options. make sure to choose WPA PSK TKIP. so that you can have a personalize network key 9. the network security key is the " passphrase " then click apply. then your all set for wireless connectivity. you dont need the installer, just follow these steps

The wireless router can be configured without a CD by using the IE browser.

To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router’s wireless settings configured and also needs the wireless cards in all the laptops and or computers to be configured with the router’s wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

To set-up and secure the wireless router from unauthorized access, follow these steps: -
1. Connect the wireless router to your computer with a LAN cable.
2. Start your browser and enter the router's configuration URL IP address. (http://192.168.0.1)
3. Enter the router setup, login and password (default login = admin
and the default PW = password)
4. Change the admin password
5. Go to the wireless settings and change the default SSID and turn off SSID broadcast.
6. Setup encryption key the strongest is WPA2 (if not then WPA).
7. For further security measures - turn on MAC address filtering and enter the MAC address of the wireless cards on the computer/s you want to connect to this wireless router.
8. Record the settings you have made and keep it in a safe place and Save the settings.
9. Configure the wireless cards on the computer/s with the SSID and encryption settings of the router.
10. Remove the LAN cable between the router and the computer then the computers should be able to connect to the router wirelessly.

First RESET your router to defaults.

1. Obtain a Mac OSX install disc (buy one from apple or try Ebay) 2. Insert the disc then click on the "Install Mac OS" icon. Then click the restart button. 3. DONT INSTALL! Just click through enough of the windows to get to the regular set of choices on the menu bar. One of those choices is UTILITIES and one of the choices there is RESET PASSWORD.
Simple, but you should know that anyone with a Mac OSX install disc can gain access to your computer.

you can log in to belkin router by typing 192.168.2.1 and press Enter, in your internet explorer (in the address bar ),
click on "wireless" on the left, click submit without entering anything (for the password), and you can click on security. and u can setup the key from there. but best to call them and theywill help you. call them at this number 8777365771

To do this you do not need the installation disk.

1. Click Start, Run, CMD, enter. Type 'ipconfig /all' and write down or remember the ip address for your default gateway.

2. open your browser and type http://192.168.1.1 (or whatever the ip address is for your default gateway.) hit enter.

3. In the username and password login screen type admin for both. If this doesn't work, try using admin for just the password, if no luck try again for just the username, until you are logged in.

4. Go to wireless settings, security, and find the part where you can set your wireless password. It is also a good idea to use wpa personal instead of wep, because it is a stronger encryption method.
