My sony erricson w308i keeps switching it self off up to 2 times daily. I sent it back and my new one does the same

There has to be a problem with the charging point of the phone. i suggest you see a certified engineer to replace the charging point perhaps in a sony erricsson store.thanks

it is best to send it to a expert sony ericsson repairer. but it seems that the problem may be the LCD connection or the LCD itself...

the solution is to open up sony ericsson pc suite
then under tools click "phone repair" and follow the prompts
if this fails it means your battery is dead, try charging it and try again

I would go back to the supplier and insist on a new phone, or money back or a different phone.

Make sure you can demonstrate what was happeming with the phone at the supplier,hopefully this should clear things up for you.

my phone is the same model and did this but when i charged it, after about an hour it would come up with 'charging error stop ' and when i unplugged it, it hadn't even charged at all. and then the other day it just wouldnt charge, i plugged it in, it said it was charging but it wasnt. in the end, it worked by keeping the phone switched off and charging it while i was turned off. so try that, if not then i really dont know sorry

Try this.

1. remove the battery
2. press and hold the power-on button for 15 seconds
3. release the power-on button
4. connect the power supply
5. with the battery still out, try turning the phone one
6. if it works, disconnect the power supply
7. reinstall the battery
8. connect the power supply
9. turn phone on
10. allow phone to charge battery
    

If that works, you should be okay from that point on.

If you can try another fully charged battery, in your phone and it works then it might be a dodgy battery problem. leave the phone off to charge the battery for 10 hours and see if its better.
