I just replaced the battery myself on my Fossil watch. How do I reset all the functions on the watch? I cannot get the side buttons to work.

I have just purchased a fossil big tic and it has a button on the top right side , but when I press it it does nothing

there is so many kind of fossil bi tic there is one that when you push the button the digitd moves in different ways, there are with animations, with different colors of dial that you will not notice that it is changing... which one among of the big tic is your watch. but if it is does nothing, your watch probably had a problem. it might be the button, or you had to reset it. or its battery had to be replace by new one... you had to bring it from the shopo that you had purchased it for its service warranty. I hope i had been helped you.

I just replaced the battery on a fossil watch and it won't work. How to you reset it? or what else needs to be done? Please help me. thanks.

mcdevito75 here, Your Fossil watch should work with the battery change, of course it will need to be re-set. You"ll have to double check the battery install, make sure the battery contacts are clean, use a piece of paper towel and carefully clean the battery contacts. Hopefully your new battery is not dead. Another thing to check for, is that the buttons contacts are lined up with the quartz movement. While you double check your battery install, carefully press 1 button at a time, and make sure each button is making contact with the quartz mechanism, many times during a battery change to quartz movement may move just slightly but enough to keep the buttons from contacting the movement, this will keep the watch from working. Hopefully 1 or all of these is the answer for your Fossil watch.

Big tic no longer changes color

The big tic has two batteries. The battery for the display may need to be changed and the circuit reset. You can then hold the display button down for 2.5 seconds to cycle through the display function.

It now won't flash!!!

It sounds like the reset button on the inside was not pushed. There is a small reset button on the inside. Bring it back to a Fossil Store so that they can open the back and take it off. When you bring the watch back, tell the associate that you would like them to try resetting the watch from the inside.

The watch stops instead of the chrono

On this type of watch the second should not be working unless you are in the chrono mode. The lower dial should be the only indication of the seconds when not in chrono mode. You probably need to have the chrono reset and shown how the functions work. Try a Fossil location they will be able to tell you how to work this watch. It does not sound like this is a major problem.
