Most of your F2 errors on stoves has to do with a stuck key. Use a hair dryer or a hot dish towel to warm up the keypad to loosen up that stuck key.

After we had a tech to fix the glass top and one burner, the f1:e1 code came out and kept beeping. I was told it could be the control board problem. Could it be loosen wiring problem too?

Hi,

Need model number of your range to answer this question. Is this gas or electric? Is this a freestanding range or cooktop because I only can find information on ranges with this fault code given. All should EEPROM communication error which is a communication error on start up. when the top was damaged was the unit being used? Was water or liquid a factor when this damage happened? A loose wire would be a different error code or fault code like a F2 - E1 or E2, not your code given. I hope this helps, need more information. Thanks

F2:E1 ERROR CODE

Hello Cjarboe,

I understand that your range is given you F2:E1 code this code states that the keypad cord is unpluged. If you find that it is plug in and the error code comes up again you will need to replace the keypad. Here are the dirrections to check/replace the keypad.

1. Unplug, shutoff power to the unit
2. Remove the knobs from the top of the control panel
3. Remove the endcaps
4. Unscrew the control panel
5. Locate the serial cable comming out of the keypad do the jiggle and make sure wire is tight on the keypad and control board.
6. Reassable in the revearse
7. Check to see if error code displays again if it does you will need to replace the keypad.

This range has been discontunuied by whirlpool and parts are hard to come by. Here is a link that I have found the keypad for $243.42 at the followign link http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=254959&diagram_id=28176301#d28176301

Error code of E1 F2 on a kitchenaid double wall oven. What does that mean?

F2 - E1
Keypad cable unplugged
1.
Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control
board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace
keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate
keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board
(also called ERC or clock).

Kitchenaid gas range keeps beeping intermittantly, oven turns on by itself and code F2:E1 keeps comiong up on pad. What is the problem

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E1 in your Kitchen Aid range indicates shorted keypad. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

WP Touchpad does not work.

The error code of F2 and E1 on your gas range is indicating a keypad failure or an Electronic Range Control (ERC) board failure. The ribbon connector on the keypad could be damaged or shorted. One of the buttons could be stuck or shorted on the keypad. There is a good possibility of a failed (ERC) board as well.
I recommend having a service technician come out and diagnose which part failed and repair your range.
