My Belkin Surf N300 gets connected to internet and i am able to surf, but everytime when i put on the machine it says " Belkin Setup/Router monitor application has stopped working."

There is a small piece of paper underneath the router with original passwords, and the default was WPA security. Hold the reset in the back till it cycles to remove any custom settings.
Before you start : Make Sure the Wireless Switch on your Computer is turned Off (If you are using a laptop to connect to the router ) Make sure that the Light on the Router is Solid Green
Step 1 : connect a computer to the router (Wired)
Step 2 : Open Router Setup by typing http://192.168.2.1 in the address bar of Internet Explorer
Step 3 : Once you are at the router setup .. on the left side underneath Wireless you can find Wi-Fi Protected Setup
Click it
Step 4 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit
Step 5 : Disable Wi Fi Protected Setup and click apply changes
Step 6 : Now on the left under wireless click Security
Step 7 : If it is asking for a password .. leave the password field blank and click submit
Step 8 : Change the Security mode to WPA-PSK (you can also choose WPA-2 but sometimes it doesnt work )
Step 9 : Type a password (8 Characters , It is Case Sensitive)
Step 10: Click apply Changes
Step 11: On the left , Under Wireless Click Channel and SSiD
Step 12: Change the SSiD to a Different name , Change the Wireless Channel to 11
Step 13:Click Apply Changes
Turn On the Wireless Switch on the Computer (If you are using a Laptop to Connect between router)
Now try to Connect to this new network on both your wireless Computers and Ipad
here is the manual http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/8820ed00372_f7d2301_v1_uk.pdf look up under your wireless security as it isnt set up right either in the router or on your computer. look at page 8 to 13 of the PDF and follow the set up again. you will need the wire plugged in while doing this process but afterwords you can go wireless after a reboot.
