Are you certain that you have the correct plug? Have you tried it in another phone like yours?

the only thing you can try is select settings then select profiles try selecting general this should be your default setting.
Try your phone and see if problem solved if not you will need to get the board cleaned and will need to send phone to repair shop to do sorry but this is all you can do

hi. at one point i purchased a moto-700 and it had the same exact problem, when i pulled the mike down it would work for about 10 seconds than disconnect. i pulled mike in and out about 20 times and finally it kicked in and now its my favorite tooth,probably not a solution just sharing my experiance with ya. good luck.

Power it off
Press the power on button for at least 10 seconds, until it keep the blue ligth on and then pair it with your BB

maybe you had your phone wet on the bottom part where the headset is to be plugged in. bring it to the nearest repair shop for the just to clean the metal contacts then, your icon will be gone
