Sounds like the turn signal cam in the steeringwheel might be broken, stuck in the open position, poss. causing it to flash continuously. Hope this helps.

Have a 2002 Montana the signal lights blink very fast all bulbs are good had a burnt out brake light but replaced it and 4 ways flash normal.

There must still be some burnt out bulbs. The reason they blink to fast is because the bulbs have a heat-based blink mechanism, and when a bulb is out there is more power going to the bulbs which causes them to heat faster. Double check all the bulbs one by one.

Kia turn signal works but blinks fast on right side when parking lights are on

turn on park lights and signal on right side and take a good look at the front and rear light , see if one is dimmer than the other this may be due to a bad ground and when the park lights are on and drawing more power it also needs better ground, check the sockets front and rear try wiggling the bulb to see which one is causing the problem

I just purchased a 1996 cavalier. It didn't have an owners manual and i need to know what the abrieviations on the fuse box stand for. I'm trying to find the fuse for the brake lights and rear turn...

Hi, the likely problem is the turn signal switch. The signals and brake lights use different fuses. You can get an owners manual here:
http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/chevrolet/1996-Chevrolet-Cavalier.pdf

A new switch is about $40, and it isn't too hard to replace. Make sure you get one that has the same controls as yours does. To replace the switch, remove the covers from the steering column, disconnect the switch and unscrew it from the column.

Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

Rapid right turn signal on dash but no right rear turn ligt at all

What that rapid turn signal on the dash means is, the rear turn signal tail light is burnt out. This is how you know the bulb is bad. Replace the burnt out tail light bulb and you will be back to normal.

How do I fix a turn signal light. The dash board right turn signal light is blinking faster than the left side? I need help

That is usually an indication of a blown bulb in the side that's blinking rapidly. Turn on the right side blinker and looking on the outside of the car, check all the bulbs that are supposed to blink and you will see on that is not blinking. Replace that bad bulb and the dash light will blink normally again.

Turn signal not working

on an older car this woul dsimply mean that the turn signal flasher was burned out for that side. today its more complex. the turn signal flasher is a series of resistors and timer modules located in the workings of the body control module. This can be a simple problem with a shorted line, or a faultly turn switch or something as complex as needing a new body control module. This is something that needs to be repaired by a quality automotive mechnican with an electrical backround, and unfortunatley unless your in the nyc area i have none to suggest to you.
