My husband bought one of these MAGELLAN TRITON GPS's about 3 years ago and we have lost the manual. Neither one of us has a clue how to operate it, as he got it to figure out altitudes and now we want it to figure out maps. Have you got an online manual that we can dowload and figure out how this thing works? Thanks
Sorry! You have to type Triton into the "Search Support Center" box and then click on the "down" arrow on the "Entire support site" box, then select downloads and manuals!Sorry! In this case, you have lost the identity of the GPS and therefore cannot connect. It is too complicated to fix yourself. If the unit is out of warranty, the JungleGhost at jungleghost.com has a repair service. Go to http://www.jungleghost.com/repair_service.shtml
You might have an sd card inserted that contains information that the unit doesn't recognize. This happened to me when I tried to fudge some old magellan destination maps onto the sd card...the format was wrong and the unit froze...gave me the message.
The problem is being caused by a corrupt file in the internal memory. This requires a service repair to find and remove the file. Try the Jungle Ghost at jungleghost.com. They do repairs.
magellan has a big problem in the past with the Canada Value Pack. It did not work with the Triton. It was only made to work with the older Magellan GPS units.
Best to contact Magellan and see if they will give you a new one.
