I have a ladies timex ironman 30 lap with a velcro band that is integral to the face, it is attached with a pin on each side. I need a new band.
all the bands i have found do not attach to the face

mcdevito75 here, These pins may be a bit worn in the band of your watch, if so, you"d have to order a kit with various size pins for replacement. BEST BET, look for a small watch repair shop to fit new pins in the band.
Put the pin in the strap, put one side in (that's easy) then holding the other side against the watch just above the receiving hole, press the end of the pin with a small screwdriver.
(When the pin is inside the watch it will slide towards the receiving hole under the gentle force you are applying.)
It may take more than one attempt but keep trying!
Most metal bands simply need the folded edges bent upright and the link fasteners removed. They look like small staples. If you don't have this type, use a small paperclip, held in a pair of vice grips to push the pins out. Put them back in the way you took them out. the holes will loosen if you don't put them back in the way they were.
The solutions already mentioned worked for me. However the first link took me forever to remove as I found it hard to envisage what I what attempting. Attached is a pic of a disassembled link which hopefully might help someone....BPB
