I have a two year old sharp lc32d44e tv and have just moved house i have had digital put around the house and the sharp tv wont go to auto tune and i have lost the operating manual how do i do it?

Replace the TV

If the TV set is on the same stand as the Sky box then you don't tune at all. Connect with either a HDMI cable or a SCART. Use the AV input on the TV.

If you mean you have a bedroom set, and Sky is piped around the house on RF, then that's something different.

Make sure your TV has an analogue tuner as well as the digital one used for Freeview. (check the remote for a TV/DTV button). Go in the the TV tuning menu, and do an Auto tune for both analogue and digital.

hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps

I doubt they\'d be able to properly assess the problem without physically checking the tv. That being said, I know for a fact that Sharp has a VERY HIGH return rate for their flat screen televisions for any number of problems. Try resetting or restoring the tv to factory settings and see if that helps. Have you recently changed or upgraded the kind of cable service you are receiving? Do you have cable or satellite at all? Just trying to get a better idea of the situation.

In Australia you can not use it. There is no "free other over the air" TV any more. In the last 5 years they switched it gradually off. You can't use it with a standard antenna.
now you need an additional costly and spacely set top box to get hd- channels.

Check and replace the tuner.

I think this is one of the TV's that wont work as part of the Digital Switchover as it's too old. My Brother has the same TV and has had to buy a new Set top box to get Freeview.

The antennas on most TV's are small and so moving the TV to a nee location may have put you in a new place in the house with even less signal. There are TV antenna signal amplifiers you can buy and for $50 or less you should be able to get something half decent that will boost your signal. Are you not getting any channel's now? Because you should still be able to get at least something in the new location. I'm just asking if you're getting any channels in hopes you didn't damage the TV while moving it?
