Hi, I have Sony VAIO VGN-FZ17G note book with me. Originally there was Windos Vista. I changed to WIn7. Now I can't use Motion Eye Camera for video chatting... Could you pls help with this matter.. Thank you.. Kaushal

Those 2 software packages offered by Sony on their web site, (a) ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effects, and
(b) WebCam Companion Software, may just include the driver necessary to get their packages to
work with Win7 - pick one an install it - if the camera works, you got the driver. If the camera still
refuses to work, then all you have to do is de-install the package, install the other one and
give that a try.

You need the Win7 camera driver, check sony support at:

just enter your Win7 operating system (there are 9 versions of Win7), and select the downloads (2)
for your computer camera driver.

HELLO KAUSHAL, PLEASE REINSTALL THE SOFTWARE FOR THE CAM USING WINDOWS VISTA COMPATIBLITY, THIS WILL FIX YOUR PROBLEM.

1. go to this site http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=VGNFE770G 2. select what os (xp,vista,win7) installed in your sony vaio 3. go to cameras and download the driver for you motion eye 4. run the downloaded driver for motion eye 5. test it

You will need to get XP drivers for the product, they can be found here.

Did u install any other programs anfter your vista instalation? try to uninstall them one by one, My guess is that one of the programs "kidnaped" you camera. By uninstaling one by one you can easy find out witch one it is. After uninstalling one program test your camera. If it works again you that program is the problem.

I have windows vista sony vaio vgn fe880e buying at america, but I dont have drivers of motion eye web camera

Windows Vista is not the greatest at working on proprietary machines with drivers intended for XP. Can you get a driver from SONY for the motion eye that supports VISTA? I had Vista on my new machine (Dell) for all of 3 minutes before I uninstalled it and put a brand new copy of XP on. It's stable -- and works. Vista is squirrelly.
