SOURCE: LG 18000 ac leaks water in the front of unit.

Hi,

the drain pan is either clogged or the unit is not mounted properly. If the drain pan is clogged simply clean it and the problem goes away. In the case of the unit mounting, check the angle of the unit and the drain pan inside, if it tilted to the front even just a little then water would leak. the drain pan should lean toward the drain and away from the front.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: unit is leaking water

What is causing this is when you have something cold, the moisture in the air condenses to becomes water. Kinda like when you sweat in the sun. They call this condensation. The unit should be collecting this and draining the water through a hose, or out the back. If there is a hose inside the unit, check that the hose is able to completely flow downwards at least 1/4" per foot. Otherwise, if the unit is a box in a hole or window, slant the unit so the water flows towards the rear.

The inside unit is leaking water

Water leaking in split unit common, due to air filter & evaporator coil dust blocked- Clean it.
Drain pan and drain hose dust blocked-clean it. And also due to less rpm of indoor motor, there will be forming ice over the coil result to water leaking while defrosting.Replace motor capacitor.

Control unit not working - blinking

i dont really understand, but if it a residential split and you have water in the emergancy pan underneath the indoor unit there is a float switch in that pan that is open not letting the unit come on it is there to prevent water from leaking throgh the ceiling.
drain that pan and unit should come on however something is wrong. when is the last time yuo changed the filter 9 times out of ten that is the problem if filter is changed and indoor motor not running that will cause unit tice up causing leak, third the which is unl, ikely you have a leak. if i can help you anymore please let me know

My split air con unit is leaking water from the unit in house

The things that you can check yourself are
is the indoor unit level?
Are the filters clean?
The area the water is draining to free of obstruction?
Is the drain actually draining?
----Get a cup of water and pour it over the indoor coil (please make sure the power is off first please) If the water does drain then it is prolly a bigger problem.

Prolly your unit is short of gas and need a refrigeration tech out to check. That it isnt ice-ing up but you would notice the performance drop.

Hope this helps
