until you here 3 beeps. Let go. You should see, in either HDMI or AV, a screen that ask you to 'connect controller and press ps button.' If you see this menu with AV and not HDMI, then you will have to use AV. If you do not see this in either TV input, then this is what you have:

Then you have what is commonly known as the
"Green light of Death."
It is when your system powers on and acts normally but no display.
Your GPU (graphics chip) has cracked or become damaged and will need
to be sent in to SONY. You can try a 3rd party technician, but this
repair has a very very low success rate.
Thanks for the quick response Mike. I'll try that. By the way, last night I was able to see the screen while in "video 2" which is the Component AV connction. But I was not able to see it on "Video 7" which is my HDMI input. Does that mean my internal card for the HDMI port is fried?
